Raking is easy, but all you get is leaves. Digging is hard, but you might find gold.

Hi! Feel free to comment. However, I was getting posts from different Anonymous people, and it's difficult to know who is who so I can keep the conversation straight in my head. So I'm requesting that you please bear with my weakness, and identify yourself. Even if you want to use a different name than your real name -- that's fine. But give yourself a handle for me, please. :) Thanks...
I grew up in Maryland, and also in West Virginia for a few years, then went out to California for college.
Got a job in college, and stuck with it.
After college, I also volunteered for three years as lead pianist for Hopewell Baptist Church, in Napa, CA. In the first year of this volunteer work, I also helped the Pastor, Mike Ray, in the later stages of starting the Hopewell Baptist Church "South", in Oakland, CA, during the period just before through several months after he handed it over to it's first Pastor, Mike Chantigian.
I also attended a Bible Study and participated in some mission work with the Vacaville Bible Church, Vacaville, CA.
I was raised Independent Fundamental Baptist, and am incredibly grateful for the many good things I received from that. However, in 2009-2010, the Lord brought me to the Eastern Orthodox Church through St. Timothy Orthodox Church in Fairfield, CA.
In 2017, I moved my family to Mesa, AZ, where we now attend St. Ignatius Orthodox Church.
I enjoy playing several musical instruments, including the piano, pennywhistle, and fiddle. I also like the martial arts and dancing of most types, including Salsa, Country Line, Swing, and Blues/Fusion. However, I don't go dancing anymore, unless it's with my wonderful and loving wife, Clarice, with whom I raise two children (so far!), Joy and Luke.
I find political, religious, philosophical, historical, and economic discussion fascinating and engaging.
